🎶 OH WHAT A NIGHT! 🎶

We need more of this...

This is our favourite event of the year. And not because we put it on, but because the people that come make it something truly special. This was the last PORCH Potluck of 2024 and we had the pleasure of collaborating with Google for Startups for this special night. Sharing food, laughs, games, and so so much fun.

People from all over the world coming together for a night of sharing cuisines, laughs, games, and just fun. A microcosm for what we need more of in this world.

100+ people from 30+ countries made for a night to remember. These pictures are what PORCH stands for. It's what community should always be about.

When you bring good people together, it's amazing what can be accomplished.

If you weren't able to make it on Friday, we missed you!!

BUT be cautious reading beyond this point as you will suffer from a severe case of jealously...

Toronto Chapter Leaders

Wow are we ever excited to announce that we have officially named our first-ever PORCH Chapter Leads in Toronto!

This is a big step for a community... it means growth!

It has come to a point where we aren't able to do everything and we need some help handling it all.

And we are proud to be so positive about these two new faces of PORCH and what has been built.

Thank you for all you have done to make PORCH the way it is today.

Your passion to help others is something very special. If everyone in this world could have your kindness and love, we would be a lot better off. You both have a very powerful way of lighting up every room you are in and making sure that everyone there feels welcomed, heard, and loved.

We are beyond excited to welcome you to the PORCH team and know that the community will only get better with you two involved.

Our Potluck Highlights

🔦 There were incredible 80+ dishes from 31 countries around the world. THAT IS CRAZY!!

🔦 We played an awesome social BINGO #onthePORCH game where you had to complete the card with people in the room! Asli Kahraman won!!

🔦 We played some awesome rounds of Family Feud! The most challenges question... "Top Google Searches of November" – can you name them?

🔦 We gave away over $7000 worth of prizes! Katreen won a Google Pixel 8, Iris and Stefa won passes to Web Summit in Vancouver, and more!

We officially launched the PORCH Foundation and our first grant for immigrant entrepreneurs with Matrix Venture Studio.

The PORCH Foundation is a Not-For-Profit organization to help level the playing field and support immigrant entrepreneurs.

PORCH and Matrix Venture Studio are excited to offer two micro-grants of $1,500 each to support immigrant entrepreneurs in their business ventures. Applications Open!
