HELP US HELP YOU 💚
Please Vote on 2026 PORCH Events!! 🗓️
Thank you for being part of PORCH in 2025. This year our community showed up in a big way. 1000+ attendees came out to PORCH events and helped create moments filled with connection, learning, and plenty of smiles.
As we plan our 2026 events, we want to make sure the experiences reflect what you care about most. Your feedback will help us design events that are even more meaningful, more welcoming, and more fun.
We would love for you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts in the survey below. Your voice shapes the future of PORCH.
The moments from the Halloween Potluck that made it so special!
🎤 pitch circle. We passed the mic around the room and watched people introduce themselves in full costume. Ten seconds each. No pressure. Just real people sharing who they are and what they do. It set the tone for the entire night.
🎱 social bingo. The room exploded. People sprinting around, shouting out squares, finding strangers who started businesses in other countries or who spoke three languages or who could make great coffee. It was loud, chaotic, and so much fun.
🎃 pumpkin carving. We asked who had never carved a pumpkin before and almost every hand went up. Watching founders from all over the world carve their first pumpkin together was one of our favourite moments.
On top of all that, everyone showed up in costume and brought dishes from every corner of the world.
The food, the stories, and the energy were unreal.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and made the night unforgettable 💚
This session explores how strategic payment timing and effective operational FX management can reduce currency-related costs and strengthen daily business cashflow.
Learn practical approaches such as:
Understanding why currencies move
Improving cashflow planning
Interpreting market trends in relation to their bottom line
Recognizing hidden fees to avoid unnecessary bank charges.
The session empowers businesses to make educated FX decisions that protect margins, support smoother global operations, and create a stronger financial foundation, especially for companies looking to expand into the USA and manage cross-border payments with greater confidence.

Meet Nirav Vyas.
Nirav is a GTA renter with a background in interior design who has lived through the usual chaos of home upgrades. Contractors texting at midnight, projects stuck in limbo, and a condo that constantly felt like it was on “default” instead of being designed with intention.
He is now building a platform that solves that exact problem: an all in one project hub to manage every home upgrade with clarity, structure, and less stress.
He has a quick two minute survey and would love your feedback.
Your input can play a real part in shaping a product built by one of our own.

I’ve learned a lot about hosting events over the past year.
At 24, I’ve hosted gatherings for 2,000+ people and here’s what I’ve learned the hard way...
#1 Free events do not work.
I don’t care what you do, charge something. Even if you donate it all to charity, charge something. People need a reason to commit beyond clicking “register.”
Our attendance rate was around 80% for paid events and under 50% for free ones.
Sure free events get more signups, but who cares if half of them never show up?
All it does is mess with your numbers and planning.
#2 Have fun.
I’ve lost count of how many people have told me, “I’ve never had this much fun at an event,” or “The people here are amazing.”
The secret? Have fun yourself.
Don’t make people sit in rows for two hours. Don’t hand the mic to sponsors for sales pitches. Don’t do panels with the same five people everyone has seen before.
Create moments people actually want to be part of.
#3 Make it memorable.
Plan something unique. Give people freedom to move, talk, laugh, and explore. Events don’t have to be complicated to be special. They just have to be intentional.
At the end of the day people won’t remember the schedule or the slides.
They’ll remember how they felt.
