Mario moved to Canada from Brazil and launched his first business the day he landed. Literally. He started talking to lawyers in Canada six days before he boarded a plane to Toronto, Canada.

Two months later, COVID-19 slammed into the world.

Mario chatted with Dozie on the Unfiltered w/ PORCH podcast about why networking must become your "second profession" as an immigrant entrepreneur, how he built relationships at 3-4 events per week for years, and the power of referrals versus cold outreach.

We're shutting down Terroni Adelaide for Toronto Tech Week!

60 immigrant entrepreneurs, founders, and others from the ecosystem coming together for a night at Terroni Adelaide!

Even better, we have our friends at Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, AISDR, and reIGNITE Conference joining us and supporting the night!

Food transcends borders, languages, and backgrounds. It’s the one thing that connects us all.

This will be an exclusive, invite-only dinner and night to celebrate incredible international entrepreneurs, share stories, learn from one another, and of course, have some delicious Italian food.

If you are an immigrant you need to listen to this.

This was one of the most beautiful moments that I have seen in PORCH so far.

We hosted a session on Mental Wellness for International Entrepreneurs with the incredible Nina Purewal.

We never know what to expect with these topics given how personal it can be.

It ended up being one of the most beautiful hours that we have ever seen since starting the community.

People shared their challenges, their lives, the struggles they've been through, and gave so much love and support to each other.

It brought many of us to tears.

I wanted everyone to hear this special message from Nina.

To all immigrants – the journey you have been on as an immigrant is truly special and it’s important to take a step back and appreciate how far you have come.

So much love for everyone who has shared their journey with PORCH.

You are not alone on this journey.
